Fantasy Earth Zero

Now this is interesting.

Some years ago I remember seeing advertisements on the JP POL website for a new Square MMO called Fantasy Earth Zero. I remember my LS at the time saying this was the game that was going to kill FFXI. Apparently it didn't. Demand was so low that Square scrapped the project a few months after launch.

But apparently some other company picked it up and made it available to NA. I dunno if I'll ever play it. I barely have time for FFXI as it is. But the link's there if you want it.

So.... Some people thought $0.01 was too much to pay for the Humble Indie Bundle.

And since the proceeds went to charity (one of which was a children's charity, at that), they were basically stealing from charity.

This is disgusting.

Shuriken

So I ordered some shuriken and they finally arrived. I used to be pretty good at throwing these. My first karate instructor gave out trophies if you could hit the center of the target from about 15 ft. away, which doesn't sound like much, but when you're 7 it can be a bit of a challenge.

I like shuriken because you only have to throw them accurately, unlike knives or darts, where you also need to throw them so that the pointy end hits the target. I'm bad at throwing things like that :X But I can use shuriken pretty well.

Humble Bundle Update

The Humble Indie Bundle, which I mentioned 2 posts ago, was updated. Another indie studio heard about this charity drive and decided to offer their game, Samorost 2, as part of the package. Now you can get 6 games instead of 5 (And if you've already bought it, you can get Samorost 2 for free). The price is still whatever you want to pay, so it's a good deal.

The Humble Indie Bundle

I'm encouraging everyone to look at The Humble Indie Bundle, a collection of 5 games from indie developers on sale for about 5 more days. The price? Whatever you want to pay. Proceeds go to charity, the developers, or a combination of both. The pack contains:

I haven't actually played any of them yet (bought them, though), but I'm told World of Goo and Penumbra are pretty good. The money goes to a good cause, so it's definitely worth checking out.
